Hun Yapı continues investing towards Turkey's renewable energy needs through its partnerships in Kayen Alfa Enerji, Kayen Beta Enerji, and Kayen HetaEnerji. By early 2015, Hun Yapı's total investments in hydroelectric power will reach 36.9 MW. Starting out with hydroelectric power plants, Hun Yapı added solar energy to its portfolio of undertakings on sustainable energy. Environmentally friendly, long lasting, inexpensive, solar energy is today's choice of energy source, preferred over fossil fuels. Solar radiation energy falling on earth each year is approximately 160 times the fossil fuel reserves discovered up until now. Furthermore, it is over 15,000 times more than what can be generated by fossil, nuclear, and hydroelectric plants. All of this makes Turkey one of the world's most fortunate countries, as it has a huge potential for solar energy gains. By implementing systems that will transform the most important energy source, the sun, into electrical power, Hun Yapı will generate electricity through solar power for years to come.
